Q: What makes Homestyle Pet Food different from store-bought kibble?
A: We make fresh, locally prepared meals using real, human-grade ingredients. Our recipes are gently cooked to preserve nutrients, never processed into kibble.

Q: Where is Homestyle Pet Food made?
A: All of our meals are prepared in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, using trusted suppliers and local partners whenever possible.

Q: How do subscriptions work?
A: Subscribers choose how many pounds of food they need each week, select their recipe (Turkey Sweet Potato, Hawaiian Beef, or Mix & Match), and pick either pickup or local delivery. Subscriptions are billed monthly (weekly billing is available for a small additional fee).

Q: Can I place a one-time order?
A: Yes! You can try our meals with a one-time order before committing to a subscription.

Q: Can I change or cancel my subscription?
A: Absolutely. You can adjust recipes, portion sizes, or pause/cancel anytime through your account or by contacting us directly.

Q: When are pickups available?
A: Weekly pickups are every Wednesday from 3:30–7:00 PM at 2835 Downhill Plaza, Suite 603. After-hours pickup is available using code 1852 (follow the paw prints).

Q: Do you offer delivery?
A: Yes! Local delivery is available every Wednesday after 3:30 PM for $5.99 per drop-off.

Q: What if I’m not home for delivery?
A: We recommend leaving a cooler in a shaded spot. In summer, providing a garage or door code helps us place food securely and safely (and keeps bears out!).

Q: How long does the food last?
A: Refrigerated meals should be consumed within 7 days of pickup/delivery. Frozen packs can be stored for up to 6 months past the “Made By” date.

Q: Do I need to cook the meals?
A: No cooking required! Meals are fully prepared—just thaw (if frozen), portion, and serve.

Q: Are your recipes complete and balanced?
A: Yes. Our formulas are designed to meet AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for all life stages.

Q: Where do you source your ingredients?
A: We use national suppliers like Sysco for consistency, Big Dan’s Trucking Pet Food for beef organs, and trusted supplement providers including NOW, Bulk Supplements, and Starwest Botanicals.

Q: Are the recipes grain-free?
A: We offer both options! Our Turkey Sweet Potato is grain-free, while our Hawaiian Beef is grain-inclusive. Many customers alternate to give their dogs variety.

Q: Do you accommodate special diets or allergies?
A: Yes. Let us know your dog’s needs when you order—we’ll work with you to find the right fit.
