Homestyle Pet Food – Terms & Conditions

Acknowledgment of Use

By purchasing and using products from Homestyle Pet Food, you agree to the terms outlined below. These terms govern customer responsibilities, proper product use, and limitations of liability.

Responsibilities of Pet Owners

Homestyle Pet Food offers fresh meals intended to support general canine health and nutrition. However, pet owners are solely responsible for:

  • Determining appropriate portions and feeding frequency for their individual dog(s)

  • Monitoring their dog’s weight, behavior, and overall well-being while using our meals

  • Consulting with a licensed veterinarian regarding allergies, dietary sensitivities, or health conditions before transitioning to our meals

Homestyle Pet Food makes no claims or guarantees regarding specific health outcomes or the suitability of our meals for every dog.

Risk & Liability Disclaimer

By feeding Homestyle Pet Food, the consumer assumes all responsibility and risk related to:

  • Use, storage, handling, and feeding of the product

  • Any adverse reactions, including allergies, digestive sensitivities, or food intolerances

  • Feeding errors including overfeeding or underfeeding

Homestyle Pet Food is not liable for any illness, injury, or adverse outcomes resulting from use or misuse of our products.

Handling & Storage

Our meals are made from fresh ingredients and must be handled properly to maintain safety and quality:

  • Refrigerate meals immediately upon delivery and consume within 7 days

  • Frozen packs may be stored for up to 6 months after the “Made By” date

  • Discard any food that smells unusual, appears spoiled, or exceeds the recommended use window

Homestyle Pet Food is not responsible for harm or illness resulting from improper storage or handling.

Food Safety Statement

Homestyle Pet Food is prepared in a licensed facility with attention to safety and hygiene. However, meals are not sterile or shelf-stable. Fresh food must be properly refrigerated or frozen to prevent spoilage or bacterial growth.

Allergen Advisory

While we take steps to reduce cross-contamination, our meals are prepared in a facility that may handle ingredients such as beef, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy, grains, and legumes. Trace amounts of allergens may be present.

Ingredient Sourcing & Substitutions

We use fresh, human-grade ingredients, primarily sourced through national and regional suppliers.

  • Most ingredients come from Sysco

  • Beef organs are sourced from Big Dan’s Trucking Pet Food

  • Supplements include brands such as NOW Foods, Bulk Supplements, and Starwest Botanicals

  • In the event of limited availability, we reserve the right to substitute ingredients of comparable nutritional value without prior notice

Nutritional Guidance

Feeding guidelines and nutritional information are provided for general reference and do not replace veterinary advice.

  • We encourage pet owners to consult their veterinarian when making diet changes

  • Recipes are formulated using AAFCO nutrient profiles unless otherwise stated

No Warranties or Health Guarantees

Homestyle Pet Food is sold "as is" without warranties, express or implied. We disclaim responsibility for:

  • Specific health outcomes, improvements, or performance

  • Direct or indirect damages related to use of the product

By purchasing from Homestyle Pet Food, you release the company and its representatives from all liability related to product use.

Subscription Fulfillment & Billing Options

All Homestyle Pet Food subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis by default. At the time of purchase, subscribers may also choose a weekly billing option for an increased fee.

Subscribers must also select their preferred fulfillment method:

  • Weekly Fresh Pickup – Meals are prepared in fresh batches each week and must be collected during scheduled pickup hours.

  • Monthly Frozen Pickup – Meals are prepared in bulk, frozen, and made available for pickup once per month.

The chosen billing and fulfillment preferences will remain in effect for the duration of the subscription unless updated directly with Homestyle Pet Food. Proper storage and handling of food after pickup remain the responsibility of the pet owner.

Independent Brand Disclosure

Although we follow industry standards similar to brands like The Farmer’s Dog or Just Food for Dogs:

  • Homestyle Pet Food is an independent brand with its own proprietary formulations

  • We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any other company

    Homestyle Pet Food operates as an independent business entity. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with 2B Associates LLC or Carson and Bear, and no business relationship exists between our company and either of these entities

  • Feeding guidance should be reviewed with a veterinarian to suit individual dogs

Customer Feedback & Testimonials

By submitting reviews, photos, testimonials, or other content to Homestyle Pet Food, you grant us permission to use this material in future marketing, advertising, or social media, unless otherwise requested in writing.

Technology & Payment Platforms

We currently use PayPal for all order processing.

  • Homestyle Pet Food is not responsible for issues related to third-party platforms such as service outages, declined payments, or transaction errors

  • Customers should contact us directly for support if payment issues occur

Subscription Management

Subscriptions are billed through PayPal.

  • Contact us directly to create or modify your subscription

  • Notify us at least [X] days before your next billing cycle to cancel or pause service

  • Refunds are processed according to our Refund Policy

Refunds & Returns

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within [X] days of receipt.

  • We do not accept returns of opened or partially used food for health and safety reasons

Delivery & Local Pick-Up

We offer delivery and pick-up within Routt County, Colorado.

  • Delivery times are not guaranteed

  • We are not liable for delivery delays caused by weather, couriers, or other third-party disruptions

  • Ensure someone is available to receive your order if required

Force Majeure

Homestyle Pet Food is not liable for failure or delay in performance caused by forces beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, labor shortages, or transportation issues.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Homestyle Pet Food and its affiliates against any losses, damages, or claims resulting from misuse of our products or failure to follow proper feeding/storage instructions.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. All legal matters will be resolved in the courts of Routt County, Colorado.
